Who is this training designed for?
This training is designed for MDs, DOs, DMDs, DDS, NPs, PAs, and RNs.
Is this course CME Accredited?
Yes! For completion of the Didactic (Activity #1) and the Hands-On training (Activity #2), you will receive 15.5 CME credits.
Can providers outside of CA and the US attend?
Yes! According to the State of California Business and Professions Code Section 2729, nurses licensed in another state or country are eligible to take this training for CME accreditation.
TRAINING SCHEDULE
In-Person Workshop (9 AM-6 PM* PST)
Hands-On Aesthetic Training + Didactic
This course helps you gain an in-depth understanding of the many different types of FDA-approved injectables, where to best utilize each one, what complications may arise, and complication management. You will learn injection techniques, how to properly assess your patients as it relates to the aging process, and how to choose the best product.
COURSE AGENDA:
Morning 9 AM – 1 PM: You will first observe a live demonstration of various injection techniques used by Dr. Gideon Kwok, DO, and Lori Robertson MSN, FNP-C.
1 PM – 1:30 PM: BREAK
Afternoon (1:30 PM – 6 PM): During your scheduled training time, our instructors will guide you on how to:
– Perform patient assessments.
– Provide patient education regarding the treatment your model is about to receive.
– Choose the product most appropriate for the patient’s needs.
– Safely and properly perform injections
While you are not being trained, you will be able to observe your peers being trained. This will be an excellent opportunity to listen and learn while in the background.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
On-Demand Didactic
- Analyze anatomical landmarks. Fat complications ligaments, muscles related to dermal fillers, and neurotoxins.
- Describe the aging process and how to utilize volume replacement with dermal fillers and collagen stimulators.
- Explain facial muscle assessment origins, insertions and muscle action /function as it relates to neuromodulator use.
- Assess and evaluate for adverse events/reactions as they pertain to dermal fillers and neuromodulators.
Hands-On Activity
- Demonstrate proper injection techniques for neuromodulators.
- Demonstrate proper injection techniques for dermal filler.
- Verbalize and express understanding of the aging face and how to appropriately rejuvenate with dermal fillers.
- Verbalize and express understanding of the muscle’s origins and that are related to neurotoxin injections and their outcomes.

Dr. Gideon Kwok, DO
Dr. Gideon Kwok, DO has more than 15 years experience performing medical aesthetics and is co-owner and Medical Director to 8 Skin Perfect Medical Clinics in Southern California. He is a national trainer for GAIN (Galderma), Cutera, Bioform (Radiesse), Merz, as well as a faculty member and trainer for MINT threads. The drive and desire to help others, whether it be his patients or fellow providers, is what keeps him at the forefront of the industry.
Lori Robertson, MSN, FNP-C
Lori Robertson, MSN, FNP-C has more than 12 years of experience performing medical aesthetics and is part of the national faculty for Allergan and Galderma. She strives to educate other providers on safe and effective injection techniques so more and more patients can enjoy the life-changing benefits injectables have to offer.

By completing the on-demand didactic and hands-on training, you will be awarded:

Upon completion of didactic, students will be mailed a required survey to receive their first 10 CME credits.
Activity #2
Hands-On Training
Upon completion of hands-on training, students will be emailed an additional required survey to receive their additional 5.5 CME credits.
