Why is it that we can easily extend compassion to a friend but we find it most difficult to extend it to ourselves we are experiencing disappointment in life? The seeds of self-compassion lie within you and our course helps you tap into that skill so that you know how to use it when it's needed in daily life. Practicing self-compassion leads to better relationships with others and yourself.  This also leads to lowering stress and increasing your productivity. Mindful Self-Compassion is an 8-week empirically-supported program developed by Kristin Neff, PhD, the pioneering researcher in the field of self- compassion and Christopher Germer, PhD, a leader in the integration of mindfulness, compassion and psychotherapy. Both Neff and Germer are co-founders of the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion. Your instructor is Denette Mann, a Certified Trainer of Mindful Self-Compassion who earned her training at the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion. Duration: This program will be held online over Zoom for 8 Monday evenings from 6 pm to 8:30 pm CST.
